SHEFFIELD FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION SEASON 1868-9. The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on TUESDAY EVENING next, Oct. 13, at Mr R. ARNOLD's ADELPHI HOTEL at Eight o'clock, to consider the following Alterations in the Rules for the ensuing Season, Proposed by the Pitsmoor F.C. to amend Rule 11. Proposed by the Norfolk F.C. to amend Rules 5 and 7. Proposed by the Fir Vale FC to amend Rules 10 and 13.P roposed by the Fir Vale F C. to add a Rule for Umpires, and a definition of Term. Sheffield Football Association. The annual general meeting of the above association was held at Mr. R. Armfield's, Adelphi Hotel; Mr. H. W. Chambers in the chair. Tho honorary secretary read the report, which showed a small balance hand. The following were elected officers for the ensuing season:—Mr. "VY. H. Chambers, president; Mr. J. C. Shaw, vice-president; Mr. J. Tomlinson, treasurer; Mr. W. Skinner, hon. sec; committee, Messrs. J. Denton, R. W. Dukinson, J. Pashley, J. Marsh, J. Eradshaw, C. Mills, W. Sanderson, G. Fowler, J. Order, M. Leo, J. E. Deans, W. H. Jams, B. Bellamy, and W. Harrison. Several alterations were made in the rules. Rule 1 was amended from four yards goal and four yards rouges to eight yards goal, thus doing away with tho rouges. Rules 5, 7, and 11 were also amended. Rule 13 was altered to allow fair catch.
