I have contributed a few articles to Wikipedia and hope to contribute more. I have degrees in electronic engineering and control Engineering. My career has been principally in the fields of: control of chemical processes, scientific computing, dynamic simulation of industrial chemical processes and numerical solutions of partial differential equations. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control, a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists and a Chartered Engineer . I was granted Freedom of the City of London in December 1995.
I am a visiting professor at City, University of London, UK, and have written five books. I am also a curator at Scholarpedia .
My interests include: general computing, fluid dynamics, numerical methods, history of science, classical music, genealogy, chess and golf.
