From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

University of Missouri Extension is the outreach arm of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. It’s mission is to address the needs of the state of Missouri by applying the knowledge and research of the state’s flagship university. The Extension is a partnership with all four University of Missouri System campuses and Lincoln University, a historically-black institution.

The extension program began in 1910.[1] The century farms program is awarded to farms that have stayed under the same family ownership and are at least 100 years old.[2]
