Garland Hall is located on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. It houses the departments of Anthropology, Religious Studies, and Sociology.
History
[edit]In the 1920s, Vanderbilt University began a major expansion of its campus. Day & Klauder Architects of Philadelphia was hired to draft a new campus plan to bring the university's medical center, then located at the corner of Fifth and Elm Streets, onto the main campus. The Day & Klauder plan also made provision for new buildings for instruction u=including Buttrick, Calhoun, and Garland Halls.
