Liet International 2017 was the 11th edition of Liet International, organised by Stichting Liet and the Council of Europe. Though it was scheduled to take place in late 2016, the contest was rescheduled due to a lack of funds and took place on 13 April 2017 instead, to coincide with the Sámi Easterfestival. It was held in Kautokeino, Norway. Only eight regions participated in the contest, the lowest amount ever.
Sápmi's Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen was the winner of the jury award and, hence, the contest with the song "Luoddaearru". She also won the contestant-voted musician's award, the first time an artist has won both awards since 2008. Completing the top five was Friesland, Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, and Suriname in second, third, fourth, and fifth place. Suriname's participation marked the first time a non-European region and language had entered the competition. Debuting region Luxembourg placed last with only 13 points.
