My name is Gregory Dietrich. I am the son of the Swedish-American Impressionist, Dietrich Grunewald (aka Dietrich), who currently has a one-paragraph Wikipedia article in Swedish (based on an encylopedia entry from 1953) but no article in English. Accordingly, I have created a draft article that offers a fuller portrait of him since the Swedish article is not entirely accurate; his life spanned 1916-2003; and he established himself as a fine artist in the early 1960s. Although I was raised in California, I have lived in New York City since 1994, where I have worked independently as a preservation consultant since 2009. I also serve as an adjunct instructor for an undergraduate seminar in NYU's Art History, Urban Design and Architecture Studies program within the College of Arts and Sciences.
