GonYi started her public life in 2013 as Miss Myanmar International. Since then she’s been a successful event presenter, television host, brand embassador and a life coach. Originally from Mandalay, GonYi worked briefly as an insurance agent after finishing her degrees in English studies. The year 2013 proved to be a fortunate turning point in GonYi’s life when she competed for the title of Miss Myanmar International. The event was quite popular in Myanmar that was just opening its doors to influx of international events and ideas. Even though she participated purely out of fascination with the event, she competed passionately and was crowned Miss Myanmar International 2013. On top of that,

she was awarded People Choice Award in Miss International pageant in Japan. She was welcomed back home with much fan fair and accolades from Myanmar media. Since then she’s been recognized as a leader among Miss Myanmar for her public speaking, media talent, and charisma. GonYi has finally found her calling in life: to be a public personality and contribute with her speaking and entertainment prowess. In no time, she transitioned herself into the most sought after event presenter who can charm and entertain the crowd. She has worked with many local as well as international brands. In 2014, she was entrusted as the MC of the Gala Dinner for the prestigious ASEAN Tourism Forum(ATF) 2014 attended by presidents and prime ministers of the region. Right after, she also hosted the opening ceremony of state-owned biggest tire factory in Myanmar. That solidified her status as the premier MC for both corporate and entertainment events. Starting from 2014, she has presented and hosted many CSR program and Talk Shows including events for top companies in Myanmar and Forbes 500 companies.
