Bot assisted promotion
[edit]This is the recommended method for promoting brand new topics. You must be on the allow list in order to use the bot. The bot's maintainer is User:Novem Linguae.
- 1. Add {{User:NovemBot/Promote}} ~~~~ to the bottom of the nomination page. The bot will be along within an hour to make the promotion.
After the bot makes its edits...
- 2. Add {{Wikipedia:Featured topics/NAME OF TOPIC}} to the appropriate section of either Wikipedia:Featured topics or Wikipedia:Good topics (example: [1])
- 3. If there are any articles in this topic that are also in a different topic, manually adjust the counts at either Wikipedia:Featured topics/count or Wikipedia:Good topics/count.
- 4. Read over the description paragraph located above the featured topic box on the Wikipedia:Featured Topic/[topic name] page. Edit it for tone. Remove stuff like this.
- 5. Spot check some of the bot's edits. Report any sub-optimal behaviors on GitHub or at User talk:Novem Linguae.
