Mohammad Shaikh is an Islamic teacher, pubic speaker and founder of Mohammad Shaikh
the International Islamic Propagation Center located in Karachi, Pakistan. He is best known for his lecture series based on the Qur’an entitled: “What Al Quran says About…” To date, he has covered over forty-five topics based on the Qur’an.

‘’’Biography: Mohammed Shaikh was born October 6, 1952 in Karachi, Pakistan to Ghulam Nizamudin and Tameez Jehan Begum.
‘’’Academics’’’: Early education included learning to read the Quran from the (late) Maulana Hafiz Qari Abdul Haq at Alfalah Masjid in PECHS, Karachi, Pakistan.
He attended Islamia College in Karachi, Pakistan. In 1988 Mohammad Shaikh was selected, along with a very few other students from around the world, by (late) Islamic Scholar Ahmed Deedat to study Islam and comparative religion at the Islamic Propagation Center International (IPCI) in Durban, South Africa.
Military Service:’’’ The National Service inducted Mohammad Shaikh into the Military Police therefore he was involved in the India-Pakistani war of 1971. Later, he voluntarily joined the Merchant Navy and earned the rank of second officer. Mohammad Shaikh is presently retired from military service to work for the service of Islam.
Life Changing Events:’’’ On December 15, 1986 while Mohammad Shaikh was in his office in Karachi, Pakistan, armed men broke in and a struggle ensued, then, a gun was fired. Mohammad Shaikh was not injured, however, he realized that although he was unharmed physically, psychologically he was distressed and knew he needed to dedicate his life to the cause of Islam.
‘’ Islam:’’ Mohammad Shaikh publicly speaks on the Quran, Islam and comparative religion. He lectures on numerous topics within the Qur’an, and is best known for his lecture series entitled: “What Al Qur’an Says About…” He is the chairman of the International Islamic Propagation Center in Karachi, Pakistan. Mohammad Shaikh also founded IIPC TV an internet-protocol television channel, which broadcasts Islamic programs world-wide through the Internet.
'’’Recognitions:': In 2009 and 2010 in the book The 500 Most Influential Muslims’’, which is edited by John Esposito and Ibrahim Kalin at Georgetown University in Washington, with the joint effort of the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center in Amman and Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. Mohammad Shaikh was voted on by a public poll taken by Reuters as one of the most influential Muslim public speakers. As founder of the International Islamic Propagation Center (IIPC), an organization which propagates Islam; the message of Islam reaches many globally. He was ranked the 4th most influential Muslim in the world on a public poll by Reuters in 2009. In 2010 Mohammad Shaikh was selected in the top 50 by the same poll.
