Stephanie Soechtig new article content ... Stephanie Soechtig (1976- ) is an award-winnng American Producer/Director and the President of Atlas Films. Her documentary film Tapped was invited to be a member of the Clinton Global Initiative and went on to win awards at the Anchorage International Film Festival, The Charleston International Film Festival, Colorado Environmental Film Festival, the Eugene International Film Festival and the Iowa Independent Film Festival. Tapped was nominated by the International Documentary Association for Academy Award consideration for Best Documentary Feature in 2010.

"History" Soechtig graduated cum laude from New York University and founded Atlas Films in 2008 along with childhood friend and the founder of Right Media, Michael Walrath. She began her career in television producing medical documentaries for ABC News. Soechtig's interest in documenting environmental issues was foreshadowed in 2000 when she produced Leonardo DiCaprio's television special, Planet Earth.
