Otago University Hockey Club is a hockey team affiliated with the Otago University Students' Association[1] in Dunedin, New Zealand. They practice and play at the McMillan Hockey Centre in an area immediately beside the University campus. The club currently consists of six teams[2] playing in the Otago Hockey Association club competition.[3] Teams also compete in the Uni Games, run by University Sport New Zealand.[4]
Recent successes have been the Men's A team winning the Premier Men's competition in 2010 and 2009,[5] the Women's A team winning the Premier Women's competition in 2009,[6] and the Women's C team winning the Senior Women's competition.
The various teams have different coloured uniforms. The Men's A team play in sky blue, the Men's B team in black and the Men's C team in grey. The Women's A team play in white, while the Women's B and C teams play in sky blue.
Several players from the club were selected to represent Southern at the National Hockey League tounament.[7]
