Will Norton

[edit]William Richard Norton was born on Aug. 19th, 1992. In Joplin, Missouri. He attended Joplin High School from 2006 to 2011. His parents were Mark Norton (Father) and Trish Norton (Mother). His sibling(s) was his sister, Sara Norton.
YouTube Career
[edit]Will Norton created his youtube channel "willdabeast88883333" on Sep. 26th, 2006 at age 14. It was not until Nov, 2007 that he would publish his first youtube video, "Will has a problem." where the plot is Will has the dilemma of bordem. Over the span of that time until 2011, he had made 70+ videos which can be found here. ([1] His final video uploaded to his youtube channel was in January of 2011 titled, "SNOWMAGEDDON 2011" where him and his friend are shown playing in the snow in Joplin, Missouri.
Death
[edit]On May 22nd, 2011 his life was ultimately cut short by the Joplin tornado of 2011. Aged 18 at time of death, his day prior was his graduation ceremony from Joplin High School. Will Norton and his father Mark Norton were driving home from his high school graduation when he was sucked out of his Hummer H3 by the EF5 tornado. His father was remained in the car, but with serious injuries. Will Norton's body was found in a pond, under debris. It was believed the cause of death was drowning, or from debris of the tornado.
After Life
[edit]As a result of his death, tons were shocked and saddened. It shocked many people of Joplin Missouri. Everyone looked back to his YouTube channel for support and to show sympathy. After his death, President Obama in 2012 was seen at the Joplin High School Graduation of 2012 wearing a bracelet in memory of Will Norton. Later in 2016 a baseball field named "The Will Norton Miracle Field" was opened in memory of will for people with disabilities who want to play sports. The Will Wall website was also opened to show thanks to other members of family/community. [2]
