Madungan Dam
Madungan Dam is a major tourist destination during summer in 2017 in Ilocos Norte Province, Picnic-goers enjoy the cold water of Madugan Dam. This tourist destination is a once-neglected facility of the barangay and now being restored and beautified. The dam is located at Barangay San Marcelino, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
There is no available public transportation to reach the area of Madungan Dam so the only way to see the beauty of the dam is thru a private vehicle. There are some rented cottages in the Dam that is being offered to tourist for an affordable cost. just like any other tourist spot and destination the Madungan Dam has its entrance fee that is very affordable to any tourist and picnic-goers.
The place is a picturesque spot that can be sought for pictorials for the tourists and added to that is the beautiful cold falling water from the Madungan River. The place is safe for tourists and picnic-goers because the place is being guarded by the barangay tanod of Dingaras, Ilocos Norte. Tourists are encouraged to bring their own food because there are no stores located yet but there are some vendors who sell some small stuff like water and some crackers in the area.
