Playing career

[edit]

Toshi Butlin was born on 19 February 2005 in Australia. He holds dual nationality, being of both Australian and Japanese descent.[2] Butlin began playing rugby league at the age of 7. At 12, he transitioned to rugby union and joined Brisbane State High School's rugby program.[3] He played in the school's First XV team for two years, competing in rugby tournaments in Queensland. Toshi Butlin then joined the Queensland Reds Academy.[4] Toshi Butlin, in addition to his rugby career, has demonstrated his athleticism in track and field.
