Hello!
Articles I've substantially written / improved:
- Junkie (novel) - William S. Burroughs' first novel, about drugs and
hipstershipsters. - The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr. West in the Land of the Bolsheviks - A silent comedy about a Harold Lloyd expy and a cowboy in Soviet Russia. (Watch it on Youtube; it holds up!)
- Stenka Razin (film) - The first Russian feature film, created by shamelessly ripping off a play.
- Alexander Drankov - The director of Stenka Razin, who later ran illegal cockroach races!
Works in Progress:
- Naked Lunch - Burroughs' much more famous, much less comprehensible third novel.
- Hypostasis of the Archons - A fascinating Nag Hammadi text in which Eve's daughter burns Noah's Ark.
Interests and Future Projects:
- I'm a data analyst by day, and I'd love to make our Statistics pages more user friendly. Variance is a good example; this article is vastly more intimidating than it needs to be.
- (That said, shout out to Simpson's paradox! I send this page to people all the time.)
- Likewise, I'd love to improve our pages on SQL and Python (programming language), using 0xDeadbeef's excellent work on Rust (programming language) as a model.
- I'd like to rewrite The Sound and The Fury, and other articles about important books everyone wants to have read but nobody wants to read.
- I'm endlessly fascinated by Gnosticism, and would love to get some Nag Hammadi literature on the front page.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to collaborate on any of these projects! I'm also active in the Wikipedia Discord under the name Water Ghosts.
