According to the allegations presented to Guantanamo detainee Mohammed Rafiq's Combatant Status Review Tribunal the Tank Nafaz Shariati Muhammed Molakand Organization brought 5,000 jihadists from eastern Pakistan to Afghanistan, in November 2001, to fight with the Taliban and al Qaeda against the United States and the Northern Alliance.[1]
