How often should material in article space be checked?

How often should material in article space be checked? Short answer? All the time. No passage should be above being checked even if it were one of the original contributions of Jimbo Wales, Larry Sanger and whoever worked with them on the very first articles. No passage in my contributions is above being checked by other contributors, even if it dates back to my first year on the wikipedia.

In practice pages that have lots of activity, lots of curious visitors get checked more often that pages with little activity and few visitors.

I do not believe that there was any conspiracy to somehow get the material I wrote exempted from peer scrutiny. I certainly wasn't involved in any conspiracy. Nor would I want my material exempted from peer scrutiny. I believe my contribution history shows I want good faith feedback from those who disagree with me. My contribution history shows me offering sincere appreciation to fellow contributors who have pointed out good faith lapses I have made, or who have drawn my attention to passages I misinterepreted in our WP:RS that require material I contributed to be rewritten, or new references, that similarly require rewrites.
