Ron Baalke is a researcher at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

He is known as one of the developers of OrbitViewer, a widely used viewer that animates models of the interaction of celestial bodies. He has also served as a spokesperson, for NASA discoveries.

Baalke was honored by his peers by having an asteroid, (6254 Baalke), named after him.
