The Katie G. McAllister is a tugboat operated by McAllister Towing of New York.[1]
The United States Navy claimed that, on July 13, 2010, the tugboat Katie G. McAllister damaged some of its underwater sensors in Norfolk, Virginia, while towing the Columbia Elizabeth.[1]

On July 13 last year, the 124-foot tug Katie G. McAllister was towing a 343-foot barge carrying 912 shipping containers from Norfolk to Baltimore. The barge Columbia Elizabeth is one of the largest container tow barges on the East Coast.
