History of Baroque
[edit]The definition of Baroque was once heard in Portuguese, meaning deformed pearl shape. It was refined as an ornate and highly effective connection with art and architecture and a style of characterization by lines, gilt, and gold. Also, it has a certain style that connects with music and popularity from Europe around the 17th and 18th centuries. Part of the Baroque style's feature is the use of contrast, movement, and drama that can develop a sense of awe that can appeal to the audience's expressions or emotions, which was used by other churches such as San Agustin Church, Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, and Santo Tomas de Villanueva Church. Another fact about Baroque is that each period of style spread across Europe during its significance going worldwide influencing many artists that made an impact on art and architecture.
Types of Baroque styles
[edit]Many different types of styles represent Baroque artwork and sculptures, and some of the Baroque sculptures were Apollo and Daphne[1], of which sculpture was considered a masterpiece that ushered the period of time of each sculpture. Although the sculpture was encountered at the climax of the story of Apollo and Daphne, it was described as posing as a laurel tree. In addition, the story about Apollo and Daphne was about the representation of Greek and Roman mythology that shows unrequited love since when the Romans recounted the story since, each part of the story was among its culture that connects with learning and wealth. Another Baroque style that caught the attention was The Calling of Saint Matthew, this was painted by Caravaggio, who was considered to be one of the most iconic paintings of the Baroque period when it depicted for a spiritual moment that has converse and awoken. This painting captured a dramatic moment of tension and spiritual awakening of the Baroque movement, symbolism, gestures, and narrative complexity.
Designs of Baroque
[edit]Since there are many arts and architecture about Baroque, there are some design styles of Baroque have been developed:
- Rococo Architecture - style was part of the interior design that originated in Paris in the 18th century when it was characterized by lightness, elegance, and exuberant use of natural forms to contain its ornamentation.
- Minuet - a time when it was played with soothing music and the origin of a social dance French for only two people. It adapts the term minuet as part of the Italian graceful dance and piece of music with a certain connection.
- Italian Furniture - incorporating each Baroque furniture style with luxurious materials and carvings that grab the attention of details that reflect the grandeur and sophistication era to make them popular throughout hotels and restaurants to enhance the ambiance of each space.
