As a native speaker of the Queen's English my conversational spellings will include 'u' and 's/z' appropriately, however on article edits I use American English in line with widely accepted standards.
Punctuation, grammar, capitalisation and capitalization exist for a reason - ask yourself, do you really want to help your uncle jack off a horse?
I am a spelling and grammar nazi, and will correct any errors I come across. I research and correct personal information such as names or nicknames of people featured in articles.
I very rarely make informational edits as I lack verifiable knowledge on most things ... my information source is usually Wikipedia anyway.
