Graciela Monica Tourn (* 1950) is a professor of botany Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires (FAUBA). Specialist in exo and endomorphology and plant architecture, . She graduated in 1972 from the FAUBA agronmist and received her Dr. in Biological Sciences in 2003 at the UNC (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba). She studied with Dr. Francis Halle with whom participated in a study mission in French Guyana. Develop scientific and teaching career since 1974 as Associate Professor Chair Exclusive FAUBA Botany.

Current activity in the Polo Universitario Punilla Center (PUPC) - Broadcast of its activities Currently and since 2005 PUCP Technical Manager, Headquarters Punilla along with Dr Ana L. Scopel Academic Coordinator of the same. This FAUBA headquarters is located in Cordoba Argentina Punilla Valley including the towns of La Falda, Valle Hermoso, Huerta Grande, Villa Giardino, etc. Also operates a research laboratory FAUBA, "Biological Station Sierras" directed by Dr. Ana L. Scopel Independent Researcher, CONICET - IFEVA, Associate Professor, Cat. Plant Physiology, Faculty of Agronomy, UBA. In addition to the issuance of the Career Degree in Environmental Sciences (LICI) was conducted in collaboration between headquarters and laboratory research projects with scientists and extension linkages in the community.

In 2009 Punilla Headquarters was the epicenter of the largest national scientific meeting in the area (October 2009), with the participation of researchers from around the country and abroad (approx. 600 participants) with the organization of the XXXII Argentine Conference Botany. The Botany XXXII Argentine Conference were devoted to Charles Robert Darwin, British scientist who laid the foundation for modern evolutionary theory, particularly through natural selection. This year marks the 200th anniversary of his birth (which occurred on February 12, 1809), and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his essential book "The Origin of Species" (happened on November 24, 1859). This project includes several regional environmental problems, proposing ways of approach and participation of the different levels to arrive at goals scheduled. • 2008 - Talk given to producers and stakeholders in the Escuelita de La Punilla on "Sustainable management of invasive species: privet (Ligustum lucidum) and Crataegus (atalantoides Pyracantha and Crataegus spp.)." This talk is related to a project submitted to the Fund for the Americas, through the Civil Association for Peace Mission.

Guest • 2009 - Participation in the "Program for Strengthening governments and NGOs for Environment and Socio-Environmental Development in the Region of Punilla in the Province of Córdoba" Invited to participate in this program, developed jointly by the ICDA - the Universidad Católica de Córdoba, and the Spanish Agency for International Development (CAST), with funding provided by the ACCE. We participated in 2 workshops held in the city of Cordoba, the seat of the ICDA, and a 3 that was held as the end of the course, which presented the work of each group in communities around the central axis workshop: water. Along with the undergraduate students and members of the Council of the City of La Falda (NGOs), gender and diet 3 interactive workshops to raise awareness, basic information about the resource and potential pathways of contamination and remediation of problems. ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATION OF THE GUARD OF THE CITY OF SKIRT I was invited by the Mayor of the city of La Falda, Dr Mark Sestopal to assist in the design and implementation of the Environmental Guard of the city. For this call on students in the Bachelor of Punilla Headquarters who participated in the organization and implementation.
