I'm an active lover of data and open-sources. I will often spend time updating OpenStreetMap (OSM) with more detail of my local area and places I've been and OpenSky Network with up to date and detailed aircraft, airline, and flight route entries. Its with open source data that allows the world to grow and develop better technology, make smarter informed decisions, and unleash their creativity without limitations.

Railroading & Trains

I am an avid collector of railroad manuals. I collect locomotive operating manuals (OIM), locomotive maintenance manuals, railcar and various equipment manuals, historic railroad documents, locomotive performance charts and data, FRA manuals, railroad operator time tables (not the type you get for consumer use), trackage maps, electrical schematics, railroad engineering plans, and much more!

Due to my ever growing collection and archiving of railroad documents, both physical and digital, I've began digitizing and archiving as much as I as well as work to digitally recreate them from OCS scans and retouch or create from scratch the original document images and diagrams for use in PDF's.

I grew up along the Amtrak Northeast Corridor and always followed the development and growth of Amtrak and various railroad's around the United States. I'm an avid supporter of high-speed rail and go to events and discussions for state, town and other debates and hearing for rail infrastructure development plans and investments. I use my collected historical documents, manuals, knowledge of railroading, data collection of rider and rail operations, and other sources to help spread knowledge, advice, and ideas for better, safer, and positive growth of passenger rail in the United States.
