The purpose of this assessment is to identify students' anchoring conceptions and/or alternative conceptions. This assessment will be used to guide the teaching that follows for this unit, which is addressing the Earth, Moon, and Sun interactions such as lunar phases, eclipses, seasons, tides, and gravity.
