About
[edit]My name is Katie. Currently I work at Michigan State University, where I teach courses in the German program and the Arts and Humanities curriculum. In 2013, I completed my PhD in German Studies at Vanderbilt University. My dissertation was on the female hand.
Research interests
[edit]My research focuses primarily on German-language literature and culture. I'm particularly interested in questions of gender, especially textual production by women, embodiment, visual culture, and Critical Theory.
