Frank Nuttall is a professional football (soccer) coach who holds the UEFA PRO Coaching Licence and a Master's degree in Sports Science. He is also a FIFA Coaching Instructor.
He started his football career as a young professional player at Celtic Football Club from 1985-1987, before playing in the League of Wales and English non-League football whilst studying physical education and sports science at University.
He has held various coaching, instructing and consulting roles with professional football clubs, national teams, national associations and confederations since 1992. He has worked extensively in Asia (China National Team, Qatar U23 National Team, Qingdao Hainui FC, Al Nasr SC), Africa (Zamalek SC, Gor Mahia FC), England (West Bromwich Albion FC, Middlesborough FC, Bristol City FC, Rotherham FC, Bury FC) and Scotland (Rangers FC, St. Mirren FC, Hibernian FC) and was part of the Rangers FC coaching team that won the Scottish Premier League and League Cup in season 2004-05.
In September 2014, he was appointed Head Coach of Gor Mahia FC (Kenya) and led the team to consecutive Kenyan Premier League Winner titles in seasons 2014 and 2015, remaining unbeaten in season 2015 with 24 wins and 6 draws in the league competition. Overall, the team was unbeaten for 47 games from October 2014 to March 2016, the team achieved a 'Treble' of the Top 8 League Cup, the Super Cup and the Kenyan Premier League and were finalists at the CECAFA East African Club Championships in Tanzania in 2015. He achieved a 65% winning record and 90% unbeaten record during his time at Gor Mahia including CAF Champions' League matches and was awarded KPL 'Coach of the Year' in 2015.
In March 2016, he joined Zamalek SC (Egypt) as Assistant Coach to Alex McLeish and achieved an 83% winning record and qualification to the CAF Champions League group stage, before leaving in May 2016.
