This is just a personal list of things I’m working on. Please discuss any of the below at my talk page User talk:Fork99, or if relevant, the relevant discussion already underway. If you would like to help, please let me know beforehand too. Projects get removed from this list if they are completed. I also put signatures just as a timestamp of when a particular project was added to the list and/or last updated. These are listed in no particular order of importance.

Railway station redirects

Add redirects to railway stations that include unnecessary disambiguations for state/territory/New Zealand and/or city names (e.g. “..., New South Wales” and/or “..., Sydney”). Fork99 (talk) 03:06, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

On the backburner. Side note: a proposal was recently made at Talk:Glen Waverley railway line, that railway station articles in Australia drop the “railway” bit in the name, i.e. Adelaide railway station would probably become Adelaide station. Fork99 (talk) 14:47, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

AU/NZ railway stations without an article

There are many passenger railway stations (that are still in operation) in regional Queensland, regional Western Australia, and on the South Island of New Zealand that don’t have articles. Instead, they have varying degrees of information (usually very little) about their railway service and/or station on the respective town’s article. They all do however, have redirects from Example railway station and/or Example railway station, Administrative Division to their respective town’s article. Also, note that there are other redirects to the respective town’s article other than the main one; these are for with and/or without the administrative region, names that could have Mt or Mount, with/without macrons for Māori names, and with/without apostrophes when there is one in the station’s name. Also, note that there are countless closed stations throughout Australia and New Zealand that don’t have articles. These closed stations I don't think really need an article at this stage, given the likelihood of notability being questioned, and not enough information anyways. A full list is provided below (I will provide the link to what would be the article’s name if it actually existed):

AU/NZ MUs/locomotives/trams

Planning to use AWB to add plural (and/or erroneously capitalised words) redirects to the main article for each class of train, loco, whatever. Plus, possibly redirects from names that don't have the operator in it, and/or historic operators if they don't exist. NSW steam locos, NSW EMUs, NSW DMUs/railcars are finished. Buses in Dunedin article

As the Orbus network (Otago region) includes more than just Dunedin buses, it includes Queenstown buses and ferries, I think a move and change of the article scope to Public transport in the Otago Region or Public transport in Otago is warranted. The name change emulates the name of Public transport in the Wellington Region, or possibly Public transport in Waikato. Fork99 (talk) 13:08, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

Setting up Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian Transport

Helping add articles, templates, categories, etc to the project. Need to add roads/streets/highways/freeways/motorways.

• Run through articles in Category:Disused railway stations in Victoria (state) and its subcategory.

Cardinal direction + railway/railroad disambiguation pages huge disgusting mess

See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Disambiguation#Huge clusterf regarding cardinal direction + railway/railroad dab pages for more information. The general gist is that there are overlapping dab pages for things like Northern Railway and Northern Railroad plus more really fun things to wrap your head around (totally). Class disambiguation pages

From Class 29 onwards (inclusive), add any missing entries. Note that from Class 40 onwards (inclusive), I haven’t checked to see if a “see also” link to similar dab pages such as Type 40 are necessary and vice versa.

Also, do the same for Class 1 to Class 4 inclusive.

Then, check what numbers NSWGR and friends used, and then make sure x class is a redirect to Class x, x being the relevant number. Check if talk pages of all these exist, and if not, add WikiProjects as well. Fork99 (talk) 10:18, 8 July 2023 (UTC)

Redirects from article titles without diacritics

If they don’t exist, add redirects from a diacritics-free version of titles of all stations listed in the lists in List of SNCF stations, except for the Île-de-France list. Cycling in X articles

Just as a note, the “Cycling in X” articles (only had a quick look at the Oceania related articles), e.g. Cycling in New South Wales lack references, and have large sections written in second person travel guide style/not encyclopaedic (WP:NOTMANUAL/WP:NOTTRAVELGUIDE), e.g. “You can take your bike on X train service for a price of a Y”. To be honest, I'm not even sure if all of the existing articles meet WP:GNG, merges/deletions could potentially happen. Fork99 (talk) 11:08, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

Fix lead section for possessive apostrophe and capitalisation of "line" in mention of Sydney Trains' services for stations' articles (inclusive) away from the city for Milsons Point railway station, Summer Hill railway station and Hurlstone Park railway station.
