The Office of the Sangguniang Bayan (OSB), is a Local Legislative body a government agency with its power emanating from the people, the main thrust of the Sangguniang Bayan of Alabel, under the Presiding officership of Vice Mayor Ronnel Saldua Español, MPA, has always been striving for effective and efficient delivery of basic services towards its constituents and, more importantly, the crafting of quality and relevant legislative measures. Through these, it is the goal of the state of Good Governance with the desire to deliver to its constituents the very basic goal of democracy which is to allow them to live and experience the good life.

Powers

Mandate

As provided under the Local Government Code of 1991, the Sangguniang Bayan shall enact ordinances, approve resolutions appropriate funds for the general welfare of the locality and its inhabitants. It has to devise strategies and plans necessary to fully complement and carry out the plans of the Executive Department.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Alabel, a premiere legislative body in soccsksargen area, imploring the aid of the divine providence is committed to improve and preserve the quality of life of Alabelians through efficient and effective provision of services that draw strength and focus from quality local legislation in transparent and inclusive governance and shall foster the optimum utilization of resources, promote technologies and invest on a human resource where its supreme objective is the general welfare of Alabelians

The Sangguniang Bayan of Alabel shall perform its ordained duties and functions, and to legislative in synergy with the comprehensive development plan, sustainable development goals, and Philippine development plan to attain participatory good governance, effective provision of basic services with transparency and accountability
