Appearance
Yes, Namibia. Normally known as the land of deserts and dry land was struck by icy cold and damp conditions as a cold front moved in from South Africa. Large parts of southern Namibia were covered in Snow on the 7th of June 2011. Mountains, roads, sheep and homes close to the Namib-Naukluft Park were covered in snow. The last time that snow was reported in these parts was in 1997.Windhoek had its lowest average day temperature in at least ten years and this was made one of the record books. during this unusual weather, a lot was lost. livestock died, roads were broken down and a few more.
