Florida State Road 840 (Also known as Cypress Creek Road, McNab Road, and Northwest 62nd Street) is a east-west thoroughfare located in Broward County. Its western Terminus as State Road 840 is at University Drive in Tamarac. As unsigned[1] the entire route, It goes on to Oakland Park, where its eastern Terminus is Dixie Highway. It goes on to US 1 with no designation. It is also the main road for the Cypress Creek Business Center.
Route Description
[edit]It starts when Captiva Drive in Tamarac, turns to the east, and renames as McNab Road. Hiatus Rd then has its northern Terminus near the intersection with Captiva Drive and McNab Road. The route continues to Nob Hill Road,the non-designated extension of SR 847. It crosses Pine Island Road, before ending up in State Road 840's Western Terminus, University Drive(SR 817). After the intersection with SR 817, it enters North Lauderdale City Limits, before intersecting with Lauderdale Avenue and Rock Island Road. After, It goes on before Bypassing both SR 7 and Florida's Turnpike. From this point, It is now Cypress Creek Road. It exits North Lauderdale and enters Palm Aire in Fort Lauderdale, before intersecting with Lyons Road, and exiting Palm Aire. Now entering Cypress Creek Business Center, It is the Northern Border of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, and crosses Keiser University. It intersects Powerline Road. There are high rises in the area, and before intersecting Andrew Ave, it is the address of the Cypress Creek station. It intersects Andrews, and then there is an exit to I-95. It goes on and SR 840 reaches its Eastern Terminus, Dixie Highway. It goes on without any designation, though. As it goes on, it becomes a residential avenue. After crossing Cypress Road, it goes on to US 1, and Becomes Bayview Drive. This is mostly considered its Eastern Terminus.
