Is everything in the article relevant to the article topic? Is there anything that distracted you?
- I would say how the article mentioned how Keeper ended up working for the Hudson's bay company is not very related to the main topic of the article. the theme of the wiki article would be how Joseph Keeper became an elite long-distance runner making it to the Olympic Games, winning a bravery award for his courageous actions in the war, all of which attribute to the amazing individual that he is. The only other addition that I would make to the memoir of Joseph keeper would be to not jump from topic to topic but to explain a little more in depth about each topic mentioned.
Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented?
- I think that some of the view points are underrepresented. Joseph Benjamin keeper's timeline is very limited, with the amount of information listed when it could expand on the thoughts of the 1912 Stockholm summer Olympic games. Stating that Keeper was an average individual with drive and talent is what has made him so successful. This way the article makes it easier for young athletes with goals to become elite athletes to relate. Or try and explain how he became so recognized for his amazing work as a Canadian soldier fighting in the war. Joe keeper I would consider a very interesting and inspiring to all young athletes. The experiences that Keeper encountered during the many different aspects of life, is what separates him from the others and I would be very interested in reading more detail about his life.
Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article?
- I confirmed that the links all worked. The information presented on each of the links was all very similar in content that is represented in each of the sources. Accept that the Wiki article is a summarized version of Josephs timeline, briefly stating and explains the major events that occurred in his life. I wouldn't say that there is plagiarism, more or less close paraphrasing.
