Open Access in Seychelles; Researchers from Seychelles publish articles in international Open Access journals, for example, in 2013, 14 articles have been published with BioMed Central – an STM (Science, Technology and Medicine) publisher which has pioneered the Open Access publishing model – by researchers from Ministry of Health and Social Development, Island Conservation Society, Nature Seychelles and Ministry of Arts, Culture and Sports.
9 articles have been published in Public Library of Science (PLoS) international Open Access journals: PLoS ONE, and PLoS Medicine by researchers from Island Conservation Society and Ministry of Health and Social Services.
