TDA - Transformational Development Agency
Transformational Development Agency (TDA) is an international non-governmental / non profit agency. The organisation is committed to bringing empowering change globally. Through the shaping of government policy, the development and implementation of poverty alleviation programs, and social and business entrepreneurship, TDA works to bring sustainable change to nations.
TDA's primary sectors include health and family with a particular focus on women and children at risk. In this capacity TDA is involved directly with orphanages, centres and programmes dealing with orphans, street children, child prostitutes and child soldiers.
Method
In strategic planning TDA takes a long term view. Whilst working to alleviate human suffering in the short term TDA looks to develop solutions that are sustainable into the future. TDA therefore has a particular focus on the development and support of micro enterprise ventures, prioritizing initiatives that work at a grass roots level, empowering the bedrock of society; women, their families and local community.
Transformational Development Agency’s Involvement in Micro-enterprise:
Transformational Development Agency has a vision for micro-enterprise development throughout the African continent. This involves addressing the needs of the poor through a long term sustainable approach. Trade and not aid is the key to enduring sustainable development on the African continent and TDA intends to accomplish this vision through creating micro-enterprise businesses. TDA is committed to researching resources within Nations, creating products, making linkages with and establishing national and international markets to retail the products, and training people in business practices. The ultimate aim of this is to see fair trade and full benefits being remitted back into building Families, Communities and Nations.
