Wikipedia’s Contributors and Authors at the Center of Wikimedia’s Eighth Annual Fundraiser (November 16, 2011)
The annual fundraiser brings in critical revenue so that Wikipedia and its sister projects can remain freely available to people around the world. Funds raised in this campaign by Wikimedia and its regional chapters will be used to maintain Wikimedia’s server infrastructure and improve software, expand global reach, and provide direct support to a global volunteer community. The Foundation's total 2011-12 planned spending is $28.3 million USD. Read more »
Indigo Trust awards Wikimedia a Grant for Mobile Improvements (October 14, 2011)

Wikimedia Strategic Plan
Our strategic priorities:
- Stabilize infrastructure
- Increase participation
- Improve quality

Wikimedia Foundation targets for 2015:
- Increase the total number of people served to 1 billion
- Increase the number of Wikipedia articles we offer to 50 million
- Ensure information is high quality by increasing the percentage of material reviewed to be of high or very high quality by 25 percent
- Encourage readers to become contributors by increasing the number of total editors who make at least 5 edits per month to 200,000
- Support healthy diversity in the editing community by doubling the percentage of female editors to 25 percent and increase the percentage of Global South editors to 37 percent

- Core financial information. On the financial reports page, you will find audited financial statements, detailed financial plans, and our form 990.
- Board meeting minutes and outcomes. The Wikimedia Board of Trustees is the ultimate corporate authority in the Wikimedia Foundation. On the meetings and resolutions pages, you will find information about its decisions.
- Policies and procedures. Beyond key policies like the Privacy Policy, Donor Privacy Policy and Trademark Policy, we publish all other key policies and procedures governing Wikimedia operations.
