Klimperei (lit. 'Tinkling') is the project of French musician and writer Christophe Petchanatz.
Biography
[edit]Founded in 1985 by fr:Françoise Lefebvre and Christophe Petchanatz, the two performed minimalist and naive short sketches in the spirit of Erik Satie or Nino Rota.
Numerous publications have put a name to their music, including: "toy-music, naïve, minimale, néo-classique, bizarre, avant-gardiste, lunaire, boîte à jouets renversée...."
Since 2002, the project is run by Petchanatz himself.
