Faizal Babu Poochengal Abdul Rahman (born 8 May 1976), better known by his stage name Faizal Rahman Alias Faizy ,

is an Indian film actor and producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. In a career spanning, he has appeared in over 4 films, mainly in Malayalam language and also in Tamil.

Faizal Rahman initially used the stage name Faizy in his early films.. After establishing himself as a supporting actor in the 2020s, his major breakthrough came with the commercial success of the film Maradu 357.

He was born at Palakkad, his Father's name is Dr.Abdul Rahiman, who is a Retired Medical Officer and Mother's name is Haleema. His siblings are Waheeda Rahman, Naz Rahman, and Shamly Rahman. His Spouse Name is Advocate M.P.Sunitha Beegum. LL.M. His children are Arshaq Rahman, Aman Rahman, Femida Rahman. By Profession he is an IT fellow, later joined in Kerala Government Service. He was granted permission to work in films and media from the government officially.

His schooling starts with in M.E.S. English Medium School at Olavakkode, Palakkad, where he studied from L.K.G. to 4th Std. He was very active in Extra Curricular Activities and School Day Celebrations. He was on stage for the first time while he was studying in UKG. His first Drama was “Manishada”, in which he played the role of hunter.

Later he joined in B.E.M. High School, Palakkad (Basel Evangelical Mission High School), where he has completed Upper Primary and High School. from 5th Std to 10th Std. He was very active in Arts and Sports. While he studying at 10th he won first prize for best actor for his marvelous performance in drama.

Later he joined for Vocational Higher Secondary Course, at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Chittur. He was very active in all arts and sports competitions and he won best actor. Sharran (Harishanth) was his classmate and close friend at that time. They both acted in Movie Maradu 357 Directed By Kannan Thamarakulam.

For graduation, first he joined in Govt. Chittur College for BSc. Botany, after first year he discontinued the studies as he was not interested in the subject. He joined for Advanced Higher Diploma in Computer Programming in Aptech Computer Education, Palakkad, where boomed in IT Field. He was a Good Computer Programmer, his software is still running in many organizations through out the world. Simultaneously he joined for B.Com at Co-Operative College, Olavakkode, Palakkad where he met his lower primary and kinder garten class mate Asghar Khan. He then flew to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to join in a job as Computer Programmer and J & P Construction. After seeing his excellence in IT field, company transferred him to Ethiopia (East Africa). Later he worked in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain etc.

He put an end to his expatriate life by the year 2008 and rejoined in Kerala Government Service in the year 2010. He had acted in an Album "Parayaan Marannathu" Directed by Suresh (Fire Force) He had appeared in many advt films and had done supporting roles in many movies.

He is an active social worker too, The leading news paper Malayala Manorama had published and artice on August 13th 2015 about his dedication and intuitive ways to help poor and uneducated peoples who are coming to various government organizations. He helped him as much as he can.

Right now he is residing at Pirayiri Palakkad in Kerala.
