Abu Rumman (Arabic: ابو رمان) is a Shammar Arab Bedouin clan descending from the ancient tribe of Tayy. Abu Rumman is from Al-Faddagha (Arabic: الفداغه) it's larger clan, who are from the subtribe of the Al-Zoba, (Arabic: الزوبع) which are from the larger tribe of Shammar (Arabic: شَمَّر‎) a tribal Arab Qahtanite confederation. In its height in the 1850s, the tribe controlled most of central and Northern Arabia.

The Abu Rumman clan are the descendants of Muhammad al-Sharif ibn al-Harith (al-Harith) ibn Zayd al-Husayb, their ancestral grandfather. The historical and traditional seat of the clan's leadership is in the city of Tayma in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Due to inter-tribal conflicts in the late 1700s, many migrated and settled predominantly in northwest Jordan and northeast Syria.

In Jordan, the Abu Rumman clan is mainly concentrated in Al-Salt (Arabic: السلط‎) an ancient town and administrative center in west-central Jordan in the villages of Um Jawza and Sallouf. They also live in Mafraq, Jabal Nazzal, Wadi Arabah, Giza, Tunaib, Naour, and Umm Rummanah. Their estimated population is over 25,000. The largest family of this tribe is Husayn. There are other families such as Hammad, Yusuf, Juma, and Ibrahim.
