History

The company was founded in 1924 by Fritz Styner and Rudolf Bienz as a small mechanical workshop in Bümpliz (Berne) as collective company 'Styner + Bienz'. In 1942, it was converted into a Aktiengesellschaft (stock market company). In 1963, Styner + Bienz relocated to Niederwangen and employed around 200 employees in the new factory building. With the acquisition of the 73 employees of AWM Muri, Styner + Bienz rose to the field of plastic injection molding technology. In the course of a strategic reorientation, the company was renamed Adval Tech in 1997 and brought to the stock exchange in 1998 with a Initial public offering. As a result, the company expanded through the establishment of several subsidiaries and acquisitions abroad. In July 2016 it became known that the mold division Foboha was sold to the Barnes Group . AWM Advatech produced tools for CD’s , DVD?s Blue rays , Covers for CD’s and DVD7Bluerays. Automative parts as subcontractor of Sika AGfor BMW, Honda and other car manufacturer. Apprentices of the AWM Advatech to learn and complete their second specialty extrusion blow-molding at Fischer & Söhne AG.
