The Martin Page Masterpiece is a curated compilation playlist of music created exclusively by Martin Page from his solo career as a musician from his first five studio albums. Meant to be a starting point for new listeners, it includes sixteen songs hand-selected by Exaltist Ethan. Reaching eighty minutes, it can be burned on a single blank compact disc. While Definitely Morning Glory was Ethan's favorite playlist from its inception in 2014 until 2022, by the next year it eclipsed the Oasis playlist and went on to be his favorite comprehensive short-form[1] playlist.
The playlist includes five songs from his hit debut, In the House of Stone and Light, two songs from In the Temple of the Muse, four songs from A Temper of Peace, two songs from Hotel of the Two Worlds, and three songs from The Slender Sadness (The Love Songs). Being exactly eighty minutes in length means that the entire playlist can be fit on a single blank audio CD-R, as was the intention upon creating this playlist. Originally the playlist was conceived in 2017, promptly titled 2017 Sampler, that included many of the songs that still remain on the final playlist to date. However, not wanting to use local files, many of the songs that were included on the Spotify playlist are album tracks rather than local files found on the far corners of Internet searches.
The playlist has been on Spotify since 6 March 2021 with occasional updates.[2] Martin Page himself added the playlist to his Spotify artist page and personally thanked Ethan for it.
