IMPROVE-IT Trial (Improved Reduction of Outcomes: Vytorin Efficacy International Trial)

The primary endpoint was a composite of major cardiovascular events, including cardiovascular death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina, or coronary revascularization occurring at least 30 days after randomization. Secondary endpoints included individual components of the primary endpoint and other cardiovascular outcomes.[1]
