HotPort (source) was supposed to be a userscript to help add and modify portal links, much like how Hotcat helps with categories, available in the the following namespaces: main (articles), Category, User, Draft.

Proposed features
[edit]- Detection of existing portal links, and the template they use
- Add a new portal link, or modify an existing portal link
- Text input will show suggestions as you type
- Non-existent portal links (added, modified, or existing) styled as redlinks
- Can choose to use {{Portal}}, {{Portal-inline}}, {{Portal bar}}, or {{Subject bar}}
- Default, if no existing templates, is {{Portal}} for category pages, or {{Portal-inline}} for other pages
- Option to preview or show changes prior to saving
