Austria held a national final to select the song that would represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 1957. The winner was Bob Martin with the song "Wohin, kleines Pony?".

Chanson[s]? aus Österreich

Broadcaster ORF held a national final called Chanson[s]? aus Österreich.[1] It took place at the Wiener Stadttheater [de] in Vienna on 6 February 1957 at 20:00 CET (21:00 UTC) and was broadcast live on Austrian Television.[1]

At Eurovision to source

At the Eurovision Song Contest held on 3 March 1957 in Frankfurt, Bob Martin performed fifth, following Italy and preceding Netherlands.[2] "Wohin, kleines Pony?" was conducted by Carl de Groof.[3] BLABLABLA The song received 17 points, placing second in a field of ten.[4] It was succeeded as French representative at the 1958 contest by André Claveau, with "Dors mon amour".[5]

Every country had a jury of ten people.[3] Every jury member could give one point to their favourite song.[3]
