Shaunna Salsman is a Canadian politician and the Green Party of Canada candidate for the federal electoral district of Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca for the 41st Canadian federal election. Shaunna Salsman was born on Vancouver Island on February 20 1978. As a young mother she attended British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Automotive Repair and Refinishing program. Upon completion of her study’s she moved back to Vancouver Island to work full-time in the auto body trade. After spending six years in the trade, Shaunna Salsman was fortunate to be able to put work aside in order to devote her time to raising her son Isaac(Born Nov. 24 1994) and newborn daughter Trinity (Born Sept. 11 2004). During this time Shaunna Salsman became an active community volunteer in Sooke, spending much of her time with a local sport program and school Parents Advisory Council. In 2008 Shaunna was elected to be treasurer for the All Sooke Arts and Crafts Association. Shaunna Salsman’s work with the public and urge to make real changes has inspired her to become a candidate for the Green Party. The Green Party of Canada nominated her to be their candidate for the federal electoral district of Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca for the 41st Canadian federal election on January 30 2011.
