"Cyrano De Bergerac" is the 195th episode of the television series The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, which premiered on the CBS network on October 12, 1950

Plot

Act One

In Ronnie's bedroom, Ronnie and his friend, Jim, are rehearsing a scene from Cyrano De Bergerac as Ronnie is going to be playing the lead at the Academy. George walks in and overhears then. Ronnie quits the Academy and the play. Gracie walks in and talks to Jim and he tells her what has happened. She tells him, he should wear a blond wig so he'd be more convincing as Roxanne and Jim finally agrees to it.

Act Two

The waiter brings up a cart with lunch on it. The boys come out: Ronnie with his fake nose on and Jim with his blond wig. The waiter doesn't believe what he sees and finally leaves. Ronnie thinks about giving up, but Gracie won't let him.

In the Morton Apartment, Gracie goes over to meet Blanches niece Linda when Harry comes in. Gracie tells Linda to come over as soon as she can to meet Ronnie. Harry wrote up an itinerary for Linda's trip and explains everythin for her. As Harry keeps on talking Blanche sends Linda over to visit Gracie.

Act Three

Ronnie comes out to see Linda, but he has his fake nose on. Ronnie invites Jim to come on out in his wig and when Linda sees him she rushes out of their apartment. In the kitchen Blanch enters and asks Gracie what happened as Linda says shes going back to Seattle tomorrow. They pln to go talk to Ronnie.

Ronnie and Jim continue to rehearse in his bedroom. Ronnie talks about quitting again but continues to rehearse the speeches. Gracie and Blanche walk in and hear him. Gracie plans to call Mr. Channing to have him come over and listen to Ronnie to give him back his confidence.

In the restaurant George and Harry Von Zell are talking about Ronnie's cofidence. Harry wants a bad actor to record the speech so his confidence. Harry suggests George does it and George will do it, but Harry gets fired.

Back in his bedroom Ronnie and Jim listen to the bad recording.

Mr. Channing comes over and Gracie and Blanche lead him to Ronnie's room.

In his bedroom, Mr. Channing comes in and turns off the record and everyone isults the recording. Ronnie is about to give up the role because of what Mr. Channing said about George but everyone incourges him to keep it, so he does. Linda walks in and sees Ronnie without the nose. He explains and the leave to go to the Music Hall. George doesn't thik its that bad. Everyone, except George and Gracie, leaves the room as the recording plays and George admits he can't stand it either.
