Foco is a music project leaded by german musician and composer EOX. Previously known as ForthComing, EOX changed his project´s name after emigrating.
Live and career
[edit]EOX himself grew up in the German Democratic Republic, and later the reunified Germany. He studied Audio-Engineering, as well as piano and singing, while being in Germany. He later left Germany for Mexico. While living in Mexico City, he also started studying Film Music, but without finishing it.
Music
[edit]While being in its core a band with mainly Synthpop, Electronic Rock and Dark Wave elements, other styles and musical projects have left their imprint in their music. They mostly mention bands like Depeche Mode or Nitzer Ebb, as well as solo artists like Bjork and Gary Numan.
A relatively new aspect of their music is the use of orchestral elements.
Live
[edit]In live shows, Foco usually appears as a 3 piece band, with EOX on vocals, as well as a keyboarder and a drummer. Live shows have been rare though, with only occasional appearences over the past couple of years. EOX states "lack of motivation due to what the music industry has become, with Spotify and all..."
Releases
[edit]In the last years Foco has released music on non-physical compilations, releasing songs from a long announced, but yet not released album.
