Introduction
[edit]Hello Cis2050! My name is Emily. My Birthday is April 20th... The first time I ever moved was in the Fall of 2008, after graduating high school. I have a big family, and a fat cat named Charlie (see picture).
Personal Life
[edit]I grew up in a small town in the Niagara Region. I moved to Guelph in 2008 to start University (I love it), and have lived downtown for the past two years. My favourite meal of the day is Breakfast, and I often grab a muffin and a coffee at the Red Brick Cafe[1]. I'm currently living back home for the summer, taking two DE courses and working part-time. I hope to spend most of my summer on a patio, and my favourite poolside drink right now is the caesar.
Education & Academic Career
[edit]I have attended four schools in my lifetime:
- Fonthill Public
- Glynn. A. Green
- E.L. Crossley Secondary School
- University of Guelph
Post Secondary
[edit]In the spring of 2008 I was accepted to the University of Guelph, Ontario for Applied Human Nutrition. I applied to this program at three different schools, one of which was Guelph and the other two were Brescia (UWO) and Ryerson. I chose Guelph because I thought the campus was beautiful, I didn't want to pay rent in Toronto and I didn't want to go to an all girls Catholic school at Western. I love my program and as you can tell from my intro, I'm passionate about food. I'm starting my fourth year in the fall and I can't wait to graduate!
Awards: Dean's Honours List 2010/2011
High School
[edit]I attended E.L. Crossley Secondary School in Fonthill, ON from Grade 9 to 12. I remember being anxious to graduate, but now that I have I miss it from time to time. I decided in Grade 11 that I wanted to go into Dietetics.
Awards: Niagara Region Home Economics Award 2008
