CalMatters is a nonprofit news organization headquartered in Sacramento, California. Founded in 2015, it provides coverage of California politics through explanatory reporting.
History
[edit]CalMatters was co-founded on February 19, 2015, by Chris Boskin, Kaizar Campwala, Simone Coxe, and David Lesher to cover California politics through explanatory reporting.[2][3]
In 2019, CalMatters redesigned its website and logo, changing away from a typewriter-style logo to "a new logo that reflects the sun, sky, water and land — and bright optimism — that is California," according to Neil Chase, the chief executive officer of the organization.[4][5]
