DC Comics - The Legend of Batman Collection is a fortnightly partwork magazine published by Eaglemoss Collections and DC Comics. The series is a collection of special edition hardback graphic novels, collecting significant Batman story-arcs.
The collection started in December 2017 in the UK with the debut issue in stores being 'Zero Year Part 1' for a special price of £2.99 before rising to £7.99 for the second issue and £9.99 for following issues.
The series was released with a TV advert and advertising online
Issues are released fortnightly, and if people are subscribed through the website, issues are sent monthly meaning each delivery contains two hardbacks.
Subscribers who join online on the Eaglemoss website benefit from 6 free gifts at certain intervals in the subscription:
1st delivery - Free hardback issue of Golden Dawn and three Batman art prints
2nd delivery - Embossed tin plate
4th delivery - Tin Batman mug
6th delivery - Metal Batman bookends
10th delivery - Cover artwork collector's book
However these are subject to change at any point.
Subscribers can also pay an extra £1 per issue, similar to that of the DC Comics Graphic Novel Collection, so that with every 20 issues they receive a special over-sized hardback. There are 4 hardbacks to collect which collects the entire run of Bruce Wayne Murderer and Fugitive issues.
Based on the frequency of the 4 over-sized hardbacks (every 20 issues) this would suggest that Eaglemoss will be publishing at least 80 issues.
