Born Malaya 27 July 1954 of Swedish and Australian descent. Started playing guitar in bands at 13 years of age with classmates, forming “Dragonfly”, who supported progressive rock band “Caravan”, at Kimbles Ballroom Southsea (Ricky Farr’s venue). Mark founded progressive rock band “Fernhill” at the age of 17 as singer/guitarist/songwriter. Fernhill consisted of Mark Lundquist, Terry Holland, Gary Twigg, Clive Restall, Bob Hardy, Trevor Hockley. The band performed atThe Marquee and Lyceum on their 1971 tour supporting Liverpool band “Strife" In 1974, Mark joined covers band with brother Paul (vocalist). “Truth” toured exclusively in the UK and EU. They performed atThe Top Ten Club, Hamburg, and spent one year performing in Copenhagen at The Three Virgins and Hard Rock Café. In the last 15 years of Mark’s musical career, he toured, managed and was lead guitarist for legendary soul band “Cliff Bennett & The Rebel Rousers”. From 1988 onwards, Mark Lundquist Management http://www.marklundquist.com/ was formed and Mark went on as agent for The Drifters, The Commitments, and Procol Harum as well as touring other major recording artistes. In 2003, BPI awarded Mark a gold disc for his promotion and artistes sales. (http://marklundquist.com/2005/12/) Mark’s latest project is working with ex-Drifter Patrick Alan on a Motown Revue with drummer Pete Biggin, Saxophonist Aaron Liddard from the Amy Winehouse band. In 2006 and 2007 Mark booked the world famous Gipsy Kings into the Kew Garden Festival. Since 2005 MLM Concerts LTD continues to thrive trading worldwide.
