Zeñal Nortex (also know as Grupo Zeñal Nortex) is a norteño group (band) from central Texas, specially based out of Austin (capital of Texas). The band was founded in February of 2021 by Eliud Garcia who was shortly joined by Alexis Perez on accordion. Their first album, “Vamos por Mas” was released independently on January 27, 2023 and includes compositions from Eliud Garcia, Rey Rodriguez and Armando Barrera.

Zeñal Nortex has also released other works like “Cumbias En Vivo” which was a short live EP recorded at Frontera Chica Studios, owned by band leader Eliud Garcia. Other later releases include “De Vida o Muerte”, “Ay! Guerita”, “Poderte Amar”, “Yo Te Presumo”, “Mala Suerte”, “Si Una Vez”, “Hasta El Final” and their second short EP titled “Puras Joyitas” that includes classics from the norteño genre.

“Sigo Amándote”, written by Miguel Mendoza who has written staples of the same genre like “Eres Mi Droga”, “Basto” and “El Amigo Que Se Fue” by Intocable, has been a milestone in the band’s trajectory. Their music plays in multiple radio stations around the US and Mexico.
